On January 18, 2005, Lucille Arroyo Garcia, died peacefully at home amongst her loved ones in the family home in Burbank, Los Angeles, California.
Lucille was born in Newkirk, Kay County, Oklahoma, on January 7, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Pablo Arroyo and Josephine (Alcantar) Arroyo. Lucille attended schools in Bayard, Nebraska. On August 9, 1947, she married Anthony Garcia in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They were married for 57 wonderful years.
Lucille was mother to eight children. Lucille's greatest love was her family. And all her children were proud to call her "Mom". She became the matriarch of her family, and was a bedrock for all. Lucille never wanted to be the center of attention, so her services will be private for family members only.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Josephine Arroyo; and brother Charles B. Arroyo.
Survived by her loving husband, Anthony Garcia, son, Anthony "Tony" Garcia and seven daughters, Claudia (Michael); Sylvia, Antonette, Christine, Geralyn (George), Luanne (Eric); and Adrienne; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, Jess (Sara) Arroyo, and Helen (Andrew) Vieyra.
Interment will be in the Mizpah Cemetery, Platteville, Colorado.
