Born, August 1, 1938 in Batesville, Indiana, she was the daughter of Gayle Samuel and Bessie Mae (Griffin) Dugle. She was married to Wallace "Buck" Shafer, Jr. on August 13, 1955 and he preceded her in death on August 31, 2001. She was a Homemaker. She is survived by 1 son, David E. Shafer, Greensburg, In.; 3 daughters, Debbie Young, Napoleon, Pam Keller, Greensburg, Penny Clift, Greensburg; 3 brothers, Gayle Dugle, Greensburg, Robert Dugle, Greensburg, Donald Dugle, Kentucky; 5 sisters, Marilyn Buck, Greensburg, Mary Shafer, New Point, Connie Newman, Texas, Joann Schmidt, Indianapolis, Doris Maple, Greensburg; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; 3 brothers, Denver Dugle, Paul Dugle, Richard Davies; 2 sisters, Jean Reed, Judy Dugle. Visitation will be from 1-5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2002 at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Vice officiating. Internment will be at the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.
