Mr. Anthony H. Ryan, 63 years old, died on Thursday, December 10, 2020 in his vacation home in Unity, Maine, after a long battle with COPD. He is the husband of Liliya (Korenvskaya) Ryan. He was born in Santiago, Chile, the son of the late Hewson Ryan and Helene Lecko Ryan Warrener. His parents were in the Foreign Service, so Anthony was raised in many countries. He graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor's Degree. He lived in Swampscott many years.
He was employed as a System Analyst for Appleseed Company; he retired in the early part of this year. Anthony was an avid outdoorsman. He loved birdwatching and long hikes. At their camp in Unity, he began feeding a family of cardinals and now several generations later the cardinals still come by to be fed. He loved all animals, especially cats and dogs. He also loved to travel to Maine and Europe.
In addition to his wife of 20 years, he leaves his sister, Sprightley Ryan and her husband John Duffy of Virginia, and his niece and nephew, Clara and Hewson Duffy. Anthony also leaves several cousins and step-siblings.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Solimine Funeral Home, 67 Ocean Street (Rte 1A) Lynn. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
