Donna Ruth (Dillard) Sims, 77, of Quitman, entered into eternal rest on July 11, 2022. Mrs. Sims was born on October 21, 1944, in Longview, Texas, to the late William and Ruth Dodd Dillard. She grew up in Mineola and graduated from Mineola High School. Donna worked as an LVN at the Quitman Hospital and retired from there in 2001. She loved scrapbooking, crafting, and most of all loved giving kisses to her grandbabies and great-grandbabies. Mrs. Sims was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 45 years James Peewee Sims in 2021; and brother Lee Dillard. She is survived by children Zena Alcorn and husband Anthony, Shane Creech and wife Tracy, Jamie Anderson; grandchildren Matthew Taylor, Kyle Taylor, Hunter Creech, and Harper Anderson; great-grandchildren Brian, Abigail, Katlin, Serenity, Hartlynn, Delayni, and Addison; brother Lynn Dillard and wife Beverly. Mrs. Sims will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
