BANGOR --Lyndon O. Goodell, 81, of Bradford Commons, died Jan. 22, 1982, at his residence. He was born in Hampden, Dec. 15, 1900, the son of George and Emma (Bicknell) Goodell.

He was employed as an auto parts salesman of The Eastern Auto Co., and in later years with Rolnick and Son. He was a member of the Saturday Nighters, a past master of the Eastern Star Grange, No. 1, Hampden; a past master of Mystic Lodge, AF&AM of Hampden; York Rite Bodies; Anah Temple and the Bangor-Brewer Shrine Club.

Surviving besides his wife, Marion (Libbey) Goodell of Bangor, are a son, Ronald Goodell; one stepson, Robert A. Taylor of Bangor; one sister, Mrs. Vera Patterson of Mariaville and St. Petersburg, Fla.; a brother, Archie Goodell of Rhode Island; one granddaughter, Victoria (Taylor)Hess; one great-granddaughter, Shannon T. Hess, both of Missouri; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., with the Rev. Maurice Amnott, Grand Chaplain of the Grand Lodge of Maine, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Spring interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden.
