Anne C. Scales, 96, of Montgomery, formerly of Huntsville, died Friday in Montgomery. Mrs. Scales served as a volunteer at Huntsville Hospital and the Friends of The Library. She was a founding member of the Monte Sano Women's Club. She was state president of the Alabama Federated Women's Club from 1970 to 1972. Mrs. Scales was also a member of the D.A.R. Mrs. Scales was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Cleveland in 1937 and Thomas Scales in 1999.
