Graduated Harvard Divinity School in 1884 and ordained as pastor at Unitarian Church in Bloomington, Illinois.
Editor & Publisher of "Brush & Pencil" Art Magazine in Chicago from 1897-1902 and lived in Hyde Park.
Moved to Fruit Farm in Hills Corner in 1907 where he lived out the remainder of his life.
