  LOA, Wayne County -- Lorenzo J. Taylor, 77, prominent Wayne County stockman and farmer, died at his residence here Tuesday morning of a heart condition. Born April 30, 1881, New Harmony, Washington County, to Riley and Margaret Jane Ellison Taylor. Moved with parents to Loa in 1882. Married Jennie Grundy June 8, 1904, Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She died in January, 1955. Served an LDS mission to Great Britain, 1901-1903. Bishop of Loa LDS Ward, 1924-1928. Former Wayne County sheriff. Survivors: four sons, two daughters: William Hicks, Fillmore; Mrs. Dortha Faulkner, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Letha Durfey, American Fork; Gordon G., Pleasant Grove; Keith Taylor, Teasdale; Glade, Loa; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral Saturday, 1 p.m., Loa LDS Ward chapel, directed y Spencer Rees, ward bishop. Friends call Friday afternoon, evening, and Saturday prior at the family residence. Burial Loa City Cemetery by Peterson Mortuary, Richfield.
