Richard C. Zantzinger, Retied real estate man
Newburg, Md. -- Funeral services for Richard C. Zantzinger, a retired Washington real estate man, will be held at 11 am tomorrow at the Wayside Episcopal Church here.
Mr. Zantzinger, who was 77 and lived at Mount Victoria in Charles County, died Friday at Physicians Memorial Hospital in La Plata.
He had retired nearly 10 years ago as the owner of O. B. Zantzinger Company, the Washington real estate firm founded by his father.
He had also been a director of the Citizens Bank of Maryland and the Maryland Title Company.
Born in Baltimore, he was a graduate of the Tome School and Leigh University. He had lived for many years in Prince George's County, representing that county as a Republican member of the House of Delegates in the early 1930's.
Mr. Zantzinger served in the Army during World War II and worked for the federal government during World War II.
He was a founder and charter member of both the Marlborough and Wicomico Hunt Clubs and a member of the Chevy Chase Club. Mr. Zantzinger was also a member of the Society of the Cincinnati and the Vansville Farmers.
His wife, the former Isabel Green, was killed in an automobile accident in 1967.
He is survived by two sons, William D. and Richard C. Zantzinger, Jr., both of Mount Victoria; a daughter, Mrs. E. L. Dunning 3rd, of Bel Air, and six grandchildren.
