A native of Floyd County, Chase was born on April 14th, 1990, the son of James Anthony Keener and Tabitha Shawn Touchstone Jett. Chase had spent his entire life in Floyd County and was a member of the Oostanaula United Methodist Church. Chase was a 2007-2008 graduate of Model High School, where he served on the Wrestling Team and was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Chase loved video games, model cars and loved hunting and fishing. Chase was preceded in death by a grandfather, David Touchstone in 1994.
Survivors include his mother, Tabitha Jett, 1 sister, Martina Jett of Rome; 1 step-brother, Jeffery Jett of Sanford, Maine; 1 step-sister, Samantha Wood of Trion, GA.; his father and step-mother James A. "Tony" Kenner and Nancy Keener of Rome; his Dad and step-mother, John and Sheri Jett of Trion, Ga.; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Robinson of Rome, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Jett of Rome, Mrs. Sylvia Vaughn of Aurlander, N.C., Mr. and Mrs. James Keener of Rome, and Mrs. Carol Touchstone of Rome and a great-grandfather Kerney Camp of Rome. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
