Kenneth was the son of Donald Hinten and Olive Morris.
He married on September 14, 1941, Columbiana County, Ohio, to Lovina Katherine Floor.
He delivered bread for his parents during the recession and then worked with Conservation Camps and learned horticultural training from the Baumgardeners. He graduated from the Alliance Machine School and owned and operated a lawn mower business, Hinten Power and Equipment. He then opened his own machine shop, Hinten Machine, where he also trained students from the Joint Vocational School.
He served in the US Air Corp during World War II where he was a ball tourret bombardier flying with B24 bombers.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Leetonia. He was a former member of the Leetonia Ruritans and Masonic Lodge F& AM #401. He loved flying, golfing, boating, gardening and inventing. Some of his inventions include wheelchair leg extenders, hospital bed mobility bars, and faucet lever extenders. He also created his own lawn roller and a set of gang mowers.
He was survived by 2 daughters, a brother, and a sister. Two brothers died before him.
