Doris A. Evans, 87 of Overland Park, KS passed away December 19th, 2021.

Doris Ann Staples Evans was born October 11th, 1934 to Harold Oakley and M. Audrey Staples in Maryville, MO. She attended Hagey Country School and graduated from Burlington Junction High School in 1952. She went on to Northwest Missouri State and graduated with a degree in Home Economics & Secondary Education in 1956. She was also a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.

She spent her career working initially for Myron Green in the food service industry and retired from Employers Reinsurance Corporation in 1999. She enjoyed traveling with her family and the lasting memories. She also loved her Shiba Inu dogs and her Maine Coon cats.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Susan Wollenberg (Dave), and Julie Jones (Bob), her granddaughter Christie Jepson (Brent), grandson Tyler Jones (Emily), great grandsons Nicholas and William Jepson and Jackson Jones and great granddaughter Madelyn Jones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Audrey Staples, and her brother, Donald Herschel Staples.

Friends may visit December 22nd, 2021 from 4-6pm at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS. Burial will be Thursday, December 23rd, at Ohio Cemetery in Burlington Junction, MO at 11am.
