William "Bill" Wharam was the son of Thomas Ramsden and Sadie Ruth (Reynolds) Wharam. He was the husband of Julia "Julie" (Nickum) Wharam. They were married for more than 40 years. He formerly lived in Clarence, New York. William died December 18, 2014. William entered the military in 1942, serving in the European Theater of Operations for 22 months, including England, France,, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He received an Honorable Discharge in 1945. He was a physical therapist for 33 years, including staff therapist, clinical instructor and chief physical therapist of Veterans Administration Medical Center, Buffalo, retiring in 1984. William was active in the VFW in Clarence, and the Historical Society of the Town of Clarence.
