Betty Louise McVicker, 87, of LeRoy, IL and formerly of Quincy, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at OS St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington. She was born June 25, 1935, in Cadillac, MI to Arthur and Leola (Briars) Hankins. She married David McVicker on December 26, 1952, and he preceded her in death in 2015.
Betty attended Quincy Schools and worked in the women's department at Meijer in Coldwater. She also was employed at Crotty in Quincy and retired from Handy and Harmens in Angola. She loved to go to garage sales and playing games on her "Big" tablet.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan (Andy) Snyder of Quincy and Dava (Curtis) Akers of Leroy, IL; four sons, David McVicker, Jr. of St. Louis, MI, Donald E. McVicker of Quincy, Dennis (Sheryl) McVicker of Angola, and Tim McVicker of Montpelier, OH; 20 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Leona Fulton of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; one son, Virgil McVicker; three sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services for Betty Louise McVicker will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Don Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
