His sister Margaret died as a toddler of diptheria in March of 1880. The winter of 1880/81 was one of the harshest on record for NY City, so it would follow that little William may also have died within that year. The family were Roman Catholic immigrants (from Dublin) but to date there is no record of any sort of funeral or burial arrangements for either William or his sister Margaret found.
