Sharon Lea Sands, 62, of Burkburnett, passed away Friday, September 9, 2022.
The family will receive friends between 2 and 4 p.m. at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2022 at Central Baptist Church in Burkburnett with Rev. Duane Perkinson, officiating. Interment will follow at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett.
Sharon was born on July 4, 1960 in Amarillo, Texas to the late Kenneth and Freeda Pickett. She married the love of her life, Steve Sands, on June 7, 1980. Sharon was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church, and worked many years for Burkburnett ISD. Her family was her passion in life.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Steve Sands; her sons, Cody Sands and wife Mindy of Wichita Falls, and Brady Sands and wife Jessica of Iowa Park; her sisters, Sandie Roysden and husband Robert of Fort Worth, and Suzie Land and husband Dudley of Chattanooga, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Kamryn, Kynlee, Kanon, Kobyn, Blayton, Keigyn, Kennedi, and Kutter; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and adoring friends who will miss her dearly.
