Kevin C. Olson, 62, of Savannah, GA, passed away on 11/18/2021. Kevin will be greatly missed by friends and family. He was born to parents Luise Finzel and Lee Emil Olson, on 09/24/1959 in Alexandria, Minnesota. Kevin went to High School in St. Cloud, Minnesota and then served in the US Navy. He worked for Best Buy and transferred to Atlanta, Georgia. A few years later Kevin transferred to Savannah, Georgia. He became a small business owner of a taxi in Savannah and enjoyed meeting tourists coming to the area. Kevin was a professional photographer, accomplished sculptor and he collected antique books and clocks. Kevin also liked to fish from the pier at Tybee Island.
Kevin was born into a large family and he was the youngest of 10 children. He is survived by sister, Patricia Barker (spouse Michael Barker); sister, Lydia McCool (spouse Peter McCool); brother, Gerry Goodendorf (spouse Lynn Goodendorf); niece,Tammy Mueller; nephew, Todd Goodendorf; niece, Anne Dickson; niece, Kelsey Olson; and several other cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion for Kevin and also for the prayers and visitation by Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
A Remembrance and Celebration of Life for Kevin is being planned at a later date in Atlanta.
