Franklin Leroy Hale, 94, a resident of Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover, PA and formerly of Hampstead, MD passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at UPMC Hanover Hospital in Hanover. Born January 24, 1928 in Hampstead, MD, he was the son of the late Jacob and Anna (Lauer) Hale. He was the husband of June Marie (Graf) Hale, his wife of 70 years. Mr. Hale proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He received a bachelors degree in civil engineering and was a draftsman for Whitman, Requardt & Associates. Surviving, in addition to his wife, is his sister, Shirley Hale of Hanover. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
