Mike was born in New York City on June 19,1954 to the late Timothy and Anne (Ryan) Godfrey.
He attended and graduated from Holy Name Grammar School in Brooklyn and Lasalle Academy in Manhattan. Michael was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.
Michael is survived by his loving daughter Melissa and grandchildren Austin and Liberti. He is also survived by his sister MaryAnn (Sal), and brothers James (Debbie) and John (Donna) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Michael was predeceased by his parents Timothy and Anne as well as his brother Timmy.
Rest in eternal peace, Michael.
Interment with military honors will take place at the Long Island National Cemetery, 2040 Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale, NY on Thursday, Sept 15th, 2022 at 12:00 PM.
Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the care of Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home.
