Steve Robert Kovar, 77, passed away on September 4, 2022, in Ennis, TX. He was born to Kermit and Louise Kovar in Kaufman, TX on July 18, 1945. He worked for Ben E. Keith Co. in Dallas, TX for many years and sheet metal workers in Terrell, TX until he retired. He married Mary Cates with children, Deniese Cates and Steve Kovar, Jr. and years later married Robbie Edwards with children Belinda Edwards and Elizabeth Edwards. He was baptized at Victory Baptist Church in Scurry, TX. He became a resident at Odd Fellow and Rebekah Retirement home and Bluebonnet Rehab Nursing Home in Ennis, TX. They were his second family with all the love and care given to him by so many special people there. Thank you to Traditions Hospice for making his final days comfortable and peaceful. May God Bless each of you. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Robbie Kovar, siblings: Joe Kovar, Louise Valek and twin sister Ruth Moore and nephew Andy Blazek and leaves behind one sister Polly Blazek and husband Robert and brother-in-law Kenneth Moore. He is survived by a host of family, extended family and friends. Visitation for family and friends will be held September 7, 2022, from 6:00-8:00pm at Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home in Kaufman, TX. A private service will be held on September 8, 2022, and interment will follow in Kaufman Cemetery.
