Douglas Farmer Funeral Services Are Held Today
Funeral services were held today in St. Catherine's Catholic Church for Douglas J. Farmer, 23, who died Saturday at Schumpert Hospital following a brief illness. He had been in ill health for several years.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Farmer of 5904 Willard Ave., and a brother, George Farmer, also of Shreveport.
Officiating at the services for Mr. Farmer at 9 a.m. today was the Rt. Rev. A. M. Chenevert, pastor of St. Catherine's. A rosary was said last night at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers were Bill DeYoung, Robert E. DeYoung, Charles E. Farmer, Ellis Farmer, Adrian Flores and D.C. Mullins.
Burial was in Forest Park West under direction of Rose-Neath.
