Junior Ray Behling, Kimberly, age 90, died at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. He was born at home in Combined Locks on December 29, 1931, the youngest child of John Behling and Harriet (VandenHeuvel) Jansen Behling. Ray graduated from Kimberly High School where he played football and ran track. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, stationed in Korea from 1952-1953 during the Korean War. Ray married Janet Busch at Holy Name Parish in Kimberly on December 27, 1952. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2009. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and carving wood. In his younger years, he coached kids' football and basketball. Ray wintered in Florida for over 30 years and spent his summers at Kelly Lake. He retired as the Heating Shop Manager at U.S. Oil in 1990. Ray is survived by his son, Jon (Lori Eastman) Behling, Kimberly; special friend, Jo Marshall; grandchildren: Rachel, Erin, Kelly, and Michael; and sisters-in-law: Shirley Seegers, Claire Jansen, and Lois Reynebeau. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; son, Jody; grandson, Rory; Janet's parents: John and Harriet (VanHandel) Busch; and brothers-in-law: Richard Seegers, David Jansen, and Orion Reynebeau. He was also preceded in death by his 12 older siblings and their spouses. A private funeral will be held at O'Connell Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in St. Paul Cemetery.
