Professional Wrestler. He is mostly recognized performing under the names of "Hacksaw" in Mid-South and in WCW and as "The Natural" in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Before becoming a wrestler, he was a football star at the University of Missouri eventually signing on with the Kansas City Chiefs. His wrestling career first started in the late 1970's in the National Wrestling Alliance's (NWA) Central States territory before eventually becoming a main event star in Bill Watts's Mid-South Wrestling. During his tenure in Mid-South, he was featured in a heated rivalry with the territory's top star, The Junkyard Dog. In September of 1986 he made his debut for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) adopting the nickname of "The Natural" with dyed blonde hair and with Slick as his manager, a run that lasted for almost 2 years. In 1989 he joined WCW, reverting to his old "Hacksaw" moniker. During his WCW run, he formed a tag team with (then) future star Ron Simmons known as Doom. In his WCW run, he held the NWA World Tag Team and WCW World Tag Team Champions with fellow Doom teammate Ron Simmons. He continued his wrestling career on the independent circuit for several years after his WCW tenure came to an end in 1992.
