Joyce Kinney
June 9, 1943 — June 3, 2022
Bogata, Texas

Joyce Kinney left this world on Friday, June 3rd, 2022, at the age of 78. It was six days before her birthday and fourteen days before her 50th wedding anniversary. She passed away in her home in Johntown, Texas, after a short battle with cancer, with her husband and the dogs she loved by her side. Joyce was a loving wife, friend, and artist. She is survived by her husband, Jon, his children, Jon, Kate, and Brian, her sister, Barbara Colligan of Cazenovia, New York and nephews/niece Charles, Robert, Kathy, Joe & John Colligan of Cazenovia area.

She was born on June 9, 1943, in Weehawken, New Jersey to parents Katherine (née Schelah) and Charles Richard Misik, now deceased. She grew up in Cazenovia, New York, and became proficient in the world of computers. She spent a number of years in upstate New York assisting corporations there with their technology needs before moving to Dallas in the 80s, where she established her own computer consulting company. She provided consulting services to various organizations in that area until her retirement in 2002.

Joyce loved her family, friends, and animals, and was generous to a fault. She enjoyed accumulating many items, some with the sole purpose of passing them on, some just to have on hand should anyone have a need.

Special thanks go out to the doctors, nurses and aides at Chambers Hospice, Pleasant Springs Healthcare, Texas Oncology, and TRMC for their compassionate care.
