Mrs. Frietta Werner
Mrs. Frietta Werner, aged 73, widow of John Werner. Civil War veteran, died at the Pottsville Hospital, Wednesday morning. She had been ill two weeks with complications.
Mrs. Werner, a native of Dauphin county, being born and reared near Gratz, was a daughter of the late Philip and Kathryn Koch. She resided in Pottsville for many years and was making her home with her son-in-law. Walker Kinsey. 1649 W Norwegian St. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. To survive her she leaves the following children: Mrs. Catherine McClure. Mr. Sue Andrews. Mrs. Eva Kennedy, Herman Werner and Harry Werner, of Philadelphia: Miss Hazel Werner, Mrs. Martha, wife of Walker Kinsey, and John Werner, of Pottsville. One brother and three sisters also survive. They are: Mrs. Sue Nichter, of Hamburg: Mrs. Angelina Bowman, of Tower City, Mrs. Kathryn Beadle, of Wisconsin: and Philip Koch of Gratz.
The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon from the Kinsey home with services to be conducted at the house by the Rev. Emil Weber, of Trinity Lutheran Church. The burial will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Lykens. Undertaker Fermier will be the funeral director.
