Nora Bernice Bowen, age 68, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, died on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at St. Frances Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She was born Monday, April 19, 1954 to Jim Allen and Helen Florene Sheffield Bowen in Lequire, Oklahoma.

Nora was a woman that loved to raise flower and vegetable gardens and had the green thumb everyone talks about. Nora was also an excellent cook. She was well known for her biscuits and gravy. Nora loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Nora was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Nora is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Barbara Cole and Frances Tom.

Nora is Survived by her son, James Oliver of Eufaula, Oklahoma; three daughters, Brandy Goodwin and husband, Mike of Talihina, Oklahoma, Paradise Jackson of Eufaula, Oklahoma and Charity Jackson of Eufaula, Oklahoma;

Brothers, James Bowen, John Bowen and Robert Bowen; two sisters, Sharon Bowen of Red Oak, Oklahoma and Nita Bowen of Poteau, Oklahoma;

Seven grandchildren, Michael VanZandt, Marina Voorhees, William Harden, Rio Jackson, Joe, Woodard, Heather Thomison, and Bo Jackson; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and many special friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. Red Oak, Oklahoma. No visitation is planned. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
