Sue Neale Poole Guthrie Hollingsworth, 81, of Decatur, passed away September 3, 2022 at Imboden Creek Nursing Home.

Sue was born on April 5, 1941 in Mechanicsburg, IL, the daughter of Richard and Mildred (Workman) Neale. At age 20, she married Thomas Guthrie. Sons Tom and Troy were born to that union. In 1975 she married Richard Hollingsworth, and son Eric was born to that union. Sue earned certification as a CNA through Richland Community College and went on to work in that field at Illini House and Monroe House. She also worked at Larry Steven's Decatur Auction and as a cook and baker at Claire's Restaurant.

Sue leaves behind sons Tom Guthrie, Troy Guthrie, and Eric Hollingsworth; granddaughter Lynette Guthrie; brother Robert Neale; sisters June Fuess and Nancy Searcy; brother-in-law Bob Searcy; and dear friends Michelle Vogel-White, Ben White, Layla White, and Colton White. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 infant siblings; sisters Edna, Mary Ann, Mildred (Tinnie) and Ruth; and brother Richard.

Graceland Fairlawn Funeral Home is providing cremation services for Sue. A graveside service will be held at 10am Friday, September 16 at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.gracelandfairlawn.com.
