Lorraine C. (Viveiros) Phillips, age 78, of Swansea, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 10th. Born in Fall River, she was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Phillips, and the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Botelho) Viveiros. Lorraine graduated from Somerset High School, attended Union Hospital School of Nursing and Roger Williams University where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse at Charlton Memorial for many years, where she was a mentor to many of her co-workers, pushing them to succeed and continue their education. Most of all Lorraine loved her family, she was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and Gigi and will be deeply missed.

Besides her husband and her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her son Brian Phillips and her brother Joseph Viveiros. Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N Main Street, Fall River on Wednesday April 13th at 8:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 A.M. at St. John of God Church in Somerset. Burial to follow at St. Patricks Cemetery in Somerset. A visitation will be held on Tuesday April 12th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Research.
