Jean L. Perkins 93,of Sauquoit,NY departed this life on Saturday September 3, 2022 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.
Jean Elizabeth Loomis was born on November 17th 1928 to George and Doris Aldinger Loomis in Utica, NY. She graduated from the Chadwicks High School in 1945 and the Culver Academy of Beauty Culture in Syracuse in 1946. One of her proudest accomplishments was running her own business, the Jean Beth Beauty Shoppe. She loved taking care of her flowers, both inside and out of her home and played the piano almost every day.
On February 17, 1951 she married Jack W. Perkins in the Sauquoit Methodist Church, a happy union until his passing in 2013.
She leaves behind 2 daughters, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She also leaves her brother and sister in law and several nieces and nephews including her God-son Bob Loomis.
A special thank you to her neighbors and friends Linda and Noni. She will be laid to rest with her husband at a time convenient to the family in the Sauquoit Valley Cemetery. At her request there will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the guidance of John L Matt Funeral Home, Chadwicks,NY.
