Michael Bryan Parker, 56, passed away on March 5th, 2022 at HCA Southeast in Pasadena TX.

He was the husband of Maria Evelia Guerrero-Parker. They shared 30 years of marriage together. Born in Floresville, TX, he was the son of Ronald W. Parker and Patsy E. Parker (West). He attended J.F. Dobie High School in Houston, TX. While there he was a three time TMEA All State tuba player 2nd in the state his senior year, a successful Academic Decathlon player at Dobie and beat the teacher Decathlon team almost single-handedly, as well as medaling in UIL Math, Spelling and Latin. He was the recipient of a National Merit Scholarship in 1982 and graduated in 1983.

He attended the University of Texas at Austin and was a member of the famous Longhorn Marching Band, and participated in the wind ensemble, orchestra and Symphonic Band. He received two bachelor's degrees in Music and Psychology. Michael was a band director who liked to arrange music for chamber music and band. While in Laredo, TX Michael wrote the Fight Song for Texas A&M International University (Go Dustdevils!) and rearranged his wife's alma mater's fight song at R&T Martin High School in Laredo, TX.

His last job before falling ill was at his Alma Mater J.Frank Dobie as a teacher for OMEGA. He was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church in Pasadena, TX. He enjoyed driving and exploring the state of Texas and Mexico, cooking, and collecting music in scores, books and CD's. He loved to read and play music. He will be remembered for hating mayonnaise, mustard, almost all uncooked vegetables, and most of all, for running in fear from wasps.

He will be remembered for being a great husband, father, son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law and he seemed to have friends everywhere. He was a joy to be around with his knowledge and humor. He is survived by his wife Maria Evelia, his daughter Ana Cecilia, his mother Patsy E., brother Jon M. (Stacie), sister Cindy K Gallardo (Rudy), mother-in-law Esther Guerrero and 2 sister's in law 1 nephew, 7 nieces and many cousins and beloved friends.

He is preceded in death by his father Ronald W. Parker and his uncle William (Bill) Parker, Paternal and Maternal grandparents and Rolando Guerrero, father in law. Services are pending at this time
