TRAVIS `CHUB' LONG - Monday - September 16, 1996

Chelan - Travis "Chub" Long, 51, a 36-year resident of Chelan, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 1996, at Central Washington Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born March 22, 1945, at Guion, Ark., the son of George and Inez (Constant) Long. He spent his early years there where he also attended school. He moved with his family to Chelan in 1960. He worked in the warehouses of Trout, North Country and Blue Chelan. Most recently, he worked for Trout/Blue Chelan as a warehouse supervisor. He was married to Marie Burns on March 29, 1971, at Chelan.
He was a member of the Chelan Eagles No. 2218 and the Chelan Rustlers.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; one son, Phillip, and his wife, Crystal, of Chelan; his parents of Chelan; three brothers, Bill and James of Orondo, and Tom of Chelan Falls; one sister, Linda Sue Steurman of Chelan Falls; and two grandchildren, Dalton and Hayden of Chelan.
Services are under the direction of Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
TRAVIS "CHUB" LONG - Services of commemoration will be Thursday, September 19, 1996 at 2 p.m. from Chelan United Methodist Church with Roger Gardner officiating. Committal services and interment will follow at Fraternal Cemetery. Visitation will be Wed. 1-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family at Interwest Bank, Chelan Branch. Services are under the direction of Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
