Veronica Frances Hunt, 90, of West Point died May 23, 2006 at the West Point Living Center. Guild and Catholic Daughters Rosary will be 1:30 pm. Thursday at Stokely Funeral Home and Public Wake Services will be 7:30 pm. Thursday at Stokely Funeral Home. Private Family Funeral Mass and Burial will be held. Visitation will be 9:00 am. until 8:00 pm. Thursday at Stokely Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church.
Veronica was born July 25, 1915 at Monterey to John and Elizabeth Lammers Heimann. She attended school at St. Boniface at Monterey. She worked as a clerk at Baumann's and other various jobs retiring in the early 1990's. She lived at Somerset apartments for several years before moving to the Living Center in January of 1999. Veronica was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guild and Catholic Daughters. She was known for working hard to support her family. She enjoyed playing cards. Survivors include her daughter Elizabeth (Tim) Cunningham of Omaha, granddaughters Lisa Plourde, Ann Summers, and Renee Oltman, great granddaughters Julianne, Natalie, and Allison Plourde and Brooklyn Oltman, sister in laws Irma and Marilyn Heimann both of West Point. She is preceded in death by her husband Gail Hunt, sisters Emelia Baumert, Stella VanAckeran, brothers Edwin, John, and Albert Heimann.
