Minnie Edith Genung was born at Ellis Hollow, Tompkins County. She was first married to John Lee of Michigan, on June 17, 1891. Her five known children with John Lee were: Kenneth Peter, Angie, Robert Besemer, Fordyce, and Mary Elizabeth

Mr. Lee died in Buffalo, New York on August 18, 1921. His funeral was held on Sunday, August 21, 1921.

Secondly, she was married to Mr. George E. Stanton in 1933.

Mrs. Minnie E. Stanton is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Angeline Jewett, Tonawanda; three sons, Kenneth P. Lee, Buffalo, Robert E. Lee, of Delevan and Fordyce A. Lee of Eggertsville; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in the Baldwin-Davis Funeral Home, Ithaca. The pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church officiated. Interment was in East Lawn Cemetery.

Bearers: Malby Parker, Howard Genung, William Genung, Truman Baker, Gerald Baker, and John Shepherdson.
