Milton George Stewart
(March 15, 1944 – July 20, 2016)

The life of Milton George Stewart ended on July 20, 2016 at the age of 72 at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley. "Milt" (or "The Great One") as he was known by family and friends, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. The son of the late Jeanette R. and George W. Stewart, Milt was born and raised in Berkeley and attended Berkeley High. Milt met the late Terri Kelly and they were married on April 8, 1972. Milt and Terri purchased a home in Berkeley where they lived for 40 years.

When not at home, they both loved to travel together and went near and far including trips to Africa, Europe, South America, Australia, Tibet, New Guinea, Madagascar and the Galapagos Islands. They share exciting stories of these trips with their family and friends over the years.

Milt's father started the East Bay Brass Foundry where Milt worked and later owned. He loved his work and continued to go to work right up until his death. Milt appreciated art and obtained a degree in Art History from San Francisco State. Milt also enjoyed collecting coins and was an active member of E. Clampus Vitus and the Fratellanza Club in Oakland.

Milt will be truly missed by his sister Jeanette Stewart, Niece Jennifer Jenny, Nephews Scott Jenny and Richard Jenny, Terri's large extended family and his friends. A private memorial will be held by family members at a later date, among redwood trees. Milt and Terri were an exceptional and unique couple.
