Crawford Co., IL, formed in 1816 from Edwards Co, IL.

THOMAS BOATWRIGHT (THOMAS5, THOMAS4, JOHN3, JOHN2, JOHN1) was born 1763 in South Carolina, and died 1833 in Pope County, Arkansas. He married AMY RUSHING 1792 in Anson County, North Carolina, daughter of RICHARD RUSHING and ELIZABETH RUSHING. Mary was born Bef. 1780 in Anson County, North Carolina, and died 1839 in Pope County, Arkansas.

Note: Wm Boatwright appears in the 1870 Iron County, MO census. Although the family held hope of his return which did not happen. William disappeared during the Fall of 1866 when transporting ore from Iron County to the Little Rock Port in St. Genevieve, MO; this area had a history of terrorism danger & murder due to bushwhackers.
