Mr. Robert (Bob) Arley Henshaw age 89 passed away peacefully on August 26, 2022 at his residence 1800 NW Hughwood Dr. apt. 318 Roseburg, Oregon 97471. He was preceded in death by his parents Marion and Mary Henshaw. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Cora Leah Henshaw.

Robert was born in Parma Idaho on January 27, 1933. He graduated from Hood River High School in 1950.

Robert enlisted in the United States Air Force on May 6, 1952 and served until May 6, 1956. He was an Airman second class at the time of honorable discharge. He served during the Korean War. He received a Good Conduct Medal, Korean service medal, National Defense service Medal and United Nations service Medal. He was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base, Robins Air Force Base, Parks Airforce Base. He served in Korea and Japan during his 4 years of service.

Robert was employed at Williams Air Controls in Portland Oregon from 1956-1970. At that time he returned to school. He graduated from Portland State College in 1974 with a Bachelor's degree in Education and a minor in Anthropology. Robert taught 5th grade in Prairie City Oregon from 1974-1991 when he retired.

Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, coin collecting, playing the guitar, coaching and watching football and basketball. He enjoyed attending and watching baseball games and rodeo. He most enjoyed RVing across the United States with his wife for 22 years in retirement.

He was a member of the American Legion and the Gideons. He was a long time member of the Church of the Nazarene serving on the church board and as a youth leader. He was a BSA Scoutmaster for several years.

Robert is survived by his wife Cora Leah Henshaw and sister Yuvonne (Jerry) Dart

Grandchildren: Roscoe (Colleen) Cook, Willis (Kristi) Cook, Christie (Weston) Higbee, Nike (Jason) Bentley, Robert (Aubrey) Henshaw, Jillian Henshaw Brooks, Ethan (Jessica) Tamez, Eric Tamez
