Born on April 29, 1928, in Orviston, PA, she was the daughter of the late William W. & Josephine (Poorman) Barnhart. Allison was the loving wife of the late C. Leslie Corl, with whom she shared 65 years of marriage until his death on December 19, 2012.
Allison lived most of her life in Lewisburg, PA. She graduated from Lock Haven High School in Lock Haven, PA. Later, she met C. Leslie in State College, PA. She was a loving homemaker.
Allison will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, the way she made people laugh, and her independent strong spirit. She was a great oral historian and storyteller of family history. She will be missed by many.
Allison is survived by her children, Dawn Elizabeth Corl & husband Jerry Mixon of Seattle, WA, and Mark Leslie Corl & husband Dean Shearer of Hanover, PA. She is also survived by one grandson, Josef IrvinCorl Boyar & wife Adelia of Federal Way, WA, and a sister, Gail Whitman of Boalsburg, PA. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn Barnhart & Paul Barnhart.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery, State College, PA.
