William Edward Johns, 84, of St. Anthony, passed away Tuesday, May 31 2022 of natural causes.
He was born September 3, 1937, in Elko, Nevada to Bob and Della Johns, the youngest of 3 children. Bill graduated from Elko High School and attended Technical School in Salt Lake City. Shortly after, he began his 33-year career as an electronic technician for the Federal Aviation Administration.
In September of 1961 he married the love of his life, Doris Sutton. In 1976 the family moved from Nevada to Yakima, Washington where Bill eventually retired from a successful career. After retirement Bill and Doris moved from Yakima to Idaho to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren. Bill enjoyed all activities that included family and friends. Favorite hobbies included fishing and camping.
He is survived by daughters, Beth (Mark) Cannon of St. Anthony and Sheri (Larry) Fry of Meridian; grandchildren: Katie (Trevor) Ostberg of West Yellowstone, MT, Kelsey (Jake) Pearson of Rock Springs, WY, and Tyler and Kelli Fry of Meridian; and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Norma Rizzi.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 on Sunday, June 26, at St. Anthony Foursquare Church, 144 N Bridge Street. The family suggests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements were under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
