Born in Cass County, Texas Lee and family moved to Grayson County where he spent most of his life. He was schooled in White Mound and Sherman schools and Austin College. He also attended University Of Texas.He was Sheriff of Grayson County from 1912- 1916. Manager of the Sherman Chamber of Commerce from 1923- 1930.He was assigned to the Texas prison system where he made a lot of changes including education and the rodeo.His later years were spent in Grayson County Working with his horses. He liked the outdoors.
