James Marshall Lowery married Mary Emily Rawlings in Jefferson Co,Tennessee in December of 1869. They had the following children: Louisa B.Lowery, Jess Lowery, Maggie Lowery, Reverend Mose M. Lowery, Kate Lowery, William Oscar Lowery, James Wesley Lowery, Florence Lowery, and Martha Etter "Mattie" Lowery. According to James Marshall Lowery's granddaughter, Mozelle, he died of blood poisoning resulting from a bite from an animal he had trapped.
James and Emily Lowery were in New Market, Jefferson Co, TN on Sept 7, 1870. By June 8, 1880 they had moved to Northhampton, Rooks Co., Kansas. On April 20, 1910 they are living next to their son James Wesley Lowery in Collin Co., TX. By Jan 3, 1920, James Marshall Lowery and Emily are living in Campbell, Hunt Co. TX.
