She was born on May 7, 1928 in Albion, Idaho, to William Albert and Agnes Thelma Satchwell. She grew up in Albion with her sister Doris and brothers Billy and Burt.
Betty always loved being outside. She was a high-spirited girl with a vision of adventure. She was on roller skates from "the time she would walk" as she put it. Her dad worked hard to keep her wheels in good shape.
The family loved to camp and fish and took many trips to Lake Cleveland, a favorite spot for all. Happy times, lots of fish caught and canned, and mouth-watering camp food.
She met the love of her life, Lyle Adams, at a dance in Albion, Idaho. They were married on December 24, 1943 in her home town of Albion.
Together they farmed and started a dairy in View, Idaho. During this time, they were blessed with four children – Lyrene, Roddy, Delila and Sandra. In 1953 they purchased a dairy farm in North Shoshone where they raised their family. Retirement came on January 1, 1977 when they sold the dairy to Roddy. A few years later they moved to Gooding.
They became active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and were sealed in the Boise Idaho Temple on December 7, 1989. Betty loved the L.D.S. Church and served as a primary teacher for many years. She also served as Ward Missionary.
