Rebecca McCready Pemberton, (AKA Granny, Grandma) 89, of Ramseur, was called home August 31, 2022 at her residence. She was the daughter of Roland and Mary McCready, the remaining sibling of 6 brothers and one sister whom were very close. She was the Wife of the late Raymond M Pemberton and never remarried after his passing. Granny made it her mission to take care of her children, grandchildren, Great grandchildren (Whatever they need).
She leaves behind, to continue her work, five children. Rebecca leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Rebecca will be missed for her kind heart, witty replies, her huge heart, and loving soul. Rebecca made it her mission to make sure no one went without, even if it meant she would do without. She will be greatly missed by all. Rebecca was preceded in death by her son, Donald (Pete) Pemberton.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday September 5, 2022, 11 AM at the Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, officiating, Rev. Jason Bowser, and the graveside will resume on Wednesday September 7th at 2 PM in Portsmouth Va. at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens 3920 Airline Blvd. Portsmouth Va. 23321. She will be laid to rest beside her Husband.
