He was married to Frances Emily Eugenia "Fannie" Brown (1892–1986), the daughter of William Ambrose Brown (1864–1945) and Sarah Frances (Clay) Brown (1865–1931).
A residential carpenter contractor living at 328 Antioch Pike in Nashville, Davidson County, Felix was 74 years old, married and diabetic when he had a stroke and died on February 5, 1965 at Nashville General Hospital, where he had been for a day. Burial was two days later in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville.
