Susan Jo Clements, 60, of Abilene, Texas passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Wisteria Place Nursing & Rehabilitation in Abilene, Texas.

Susan was born in Ft Bragg, North Carolina on April 17, 1962, to the late Sollon Clayton Wilson Jr. and Allene Frances Brogan (Wilson). She was the youngest daughter in a family of eight children (6 sisters and 2 brothers).

Susan is preceded in death by her beloved son and the light of her life, Christopher Clayton Hester on November 19, 2002.

She is survived by her partner in life, Dino Dinardo of Abilene TX; former spouse, Frederick Pate Clements of St Petersburg FL; former spouse Thurman (Robin) Hester of Mount Airy NC; siblings, Carlotta (Walter) Hnyda of Fernandina Beach FL; Johnnie (Jack) Baxter of Elizabethtown KY; Michael (Deborah) Parsons of Edgar Springs MO; Patty Skirrow of Abilene TX; Merry Brocket (Dean Barrow) of Springhill FL; Sherry (Mike) Moore of Brandon FL; Mark (Stephanie) Wilson of Tampa FL. In addition, Susan leaves behind 14 nieces and nephews.

Susan was adored by her family and friends, who, through the years, gave her many nicknames including Snowball, Susie Q, Rudie, Angel and My Love. Always a generous hostess with an open house policy, she was a beautiful woman with a big and giving heart who loved her family and friends.

Living many years in the Tampa Bay area, Susan had a passion for the outdoors. She loved boating and being on the water, often participating in Billfish Tournaments. Susan loved her Bourget motorcycle, but her real passion was tennis. Susan supported the Rays and Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a true fan passion. Most of the time, you could find Susan decorating (something and anything). Susan provided interior design consultations and services to friends and referrals, but especially loved decorating for the holidays. Halloween was her favorite decorating project, which got bigger and scarier every year, but always done with love and in remembrance of her son Christopher who loved the holiday. Christmas was her next biggest holiday project with lavish decorations that delighted everyone.

Susan's Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 10 am on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park in Riverview, Florida.
