Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Linda Gay Coats, 77, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 1, 2022, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Joey Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow in the Hasley Cemetery.
Mrs. Coats was born on April 24, 1945 and passed away on August 30, 2022. She retired from the Ouachita Parish School Board working in Food Services. Mrs. Coats always loved cooking for her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, George; parents, Gray and Ruby Phillips; and by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, CT and Lucille Coats.
Survivors include her children, Tracie Walsworth and husband, Doug, Theresa Nolan, and Georgia Turner and husband, Justin; grandchildren, Jessica McKinley and husband, Roy, Hannah Walsworth, Haleigh Vollmar, Presley Turner, John Turner, and Jude Turner; sister-in-law, Sharon Davis and husband, Donnie; niece, Kristin Conde and husband, Corey; her great nieces, Landry and Corley; and she was so looking forward to meeting her first great granddaughter who will be here in December.
Pallbearers will be Doug Walsworth, Justin Turner, Roy McKinley, Corey Conde, John Turner, and Jude Turner.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Thursday.
Memorials may be made to the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter or to the March of Dimes Foundation.
