She was born on May 23, 1935. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Dayton and Ocie Scott and her husband Sterling Adkins.
Waunita was a devoted Christian woman who was a member of the Buffalo Valley Baptist Church. She lived her life for her family and the Lord.
She is survived by her children Steve (Sharon) Adkins, Drema (Dale) McKinney, Valerie Adkins, Sonya (Aaron) Williams, and Brad (Rebecca) Adkins , all of Clay, WV. She had 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren who all adored her.
A graveside service was held at the Adkins Cemetery at Dog Run, WV by her pastor Doug Newell, on September 2, 2022, at 1:00 PM.
