Before retiring in 2018, he worked for Local Union 22 as an ironworker for 27 years. Bruce was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Hancock County FOP. He loved spending his free time outdoors – hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. Bruce also enjoyed archery, bowling, and spending time with his family.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Jeannie Gregory; daughter, Lindsay Rooney (husband, Michael); grandchildren, Jacob, Felicity, Joseph, Gabriel, and one on the way; sister, Wanda Miller (husband, Don); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Greenfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th St. Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278, or envelopes will be available at the mortuary. Friends may share a memory or condolence at www.erleweinmortuary.com.
