Michael Cross, 66, of Hoopeston, Illinois, passed away at 1:42 A.M. Monday August 29, 2022, at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton on Pells.

He was born March 23, 1956, in Danville, Illinois, the son of Roscoe and Lucy (Floyd) Cross. His mother survives in Hoopeston.

He is also survived by his significant other of over 30 years, Debra Lindsey of Hoopeston, Illinois; one daughter, Jessica Lindsey of Hoopeston, Illinois; one step-son, Dusty Lindsey of Hoopeston, Illinois; two sisters, Patricia Picket and Pamela Lindsey both of Hoopeston, Illinois; two brothers, Eugene Cross of Hoopeston, Illinois and John (Paula) Cross of Scottsdale, Arizona; one grandson, Randal Howe and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe and two sisters, Marcia Bradshaw and Crystal Nelson.

Michael was a garbage truck driver. He then worked at Stokely's and Border's Taxi Service. He later worked at Vermilion Iron in Hoopeston. He attended the Chestnut Street Church of Christ. Mike was a member of the Hoopeston Moose Lodge and enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing Bingo and visiting with family and friends.Champaign
