A camper fire that led to the death of an elderly woman is believed to be accidental, according to the Henry County Sheriff's Department.

Virginia Knott, 86, died from fire-related injuries early Wednesday at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.

Knott was injured after a fire broke out in her camper Monday night on Bull Durham Road.

According to the department, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Sheriff's officers are investigating the fire, with the help of the Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department.

The investigation is ongoing, but no foul play is suspected, authorities said.

Buchanan, Tenn.–A woman who was injured in a fire on Bull Durham Road two nights ago has passed away.
Henry County Sheriff Josh Frey said the TBI and his department, with assistance from the Paris Landing Volunteer Fire Department, is investigating the fire, which occurred at a camper on Bull Durham Road the night of August 29.
Virginia Knott, who lived in the camper, suffered injuries in the fire. She was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment that night.
Frey said unfortunately Mrs. Knott died from her injuried at Vanderbilt early this morning. She was 86 years old.
"The investigation is continuing, but at this time no foul play is suspected," he said. "The fire is believed to be accidental."
