Ron was born in Seattle, graduating from Franklin High School in 1949 as an All-State baseball player. He worked twenty-one years for Zellerbach before starting his own business in Yakima. Ron coached youth baseball both in Seattle and Yakima. Ron and his wife Marilyn met in high school and were married for sixty-six years. He is survived by his children Jill, Chris, Jodi, Becky and five grandchildren.
